L'Ed Wreckers

ED BANGER RECORDS:

So for the next few post im going to cover the labels that keep me coming back for more. So I decided to post first on the label that started it all for me. Granted it was Justice that got me listening for more on Pedro's label, but as soon as i heard SebastiAn I never looked back. To this day he is my favourite dj/producer/remixer etc.

The Ed Rec crew started off really strong with strings of releases from UIffie, Justice, SebastiAn, and the rest, and they really started something with their volume compilations.

Anywho the tunes are just a random selection from the main artists, enjoy...

Busy P - What's Your Name Again? (Busy P Remix 2) [Fancy] (zshare)

DSL - Invaders (Busy P Remix) (zshare)

Justice - D.A.N.C.E. (Live Version) (zshare)

Slipping Births

UNDERWORLD:

This is my last post on my favourites in Electronic music, and for the next while I'm just gonna post on the labels I respect so much.
Anywho, I ain't even gonna bother saying anything about these legends, it's in the name, it's in the music:

Underworld - Dark & Long (Dark Train)

Underworld - Two Months Off (Radio Edit)

As a bonus song, it is a track that was in Underworld's Back To Mine Compilation years ago, it's Hip and it's Hop...

**Dead Prez - Hip Hop (Radio Edit)**

Pantha del Tekel

PANTHA DU PRINCE:

First discovered this German legend, Hendrick Weber, when I heard Steiner Im Flug (not up but check it out). His most recent album, 'This Bliss', is a masterpiece in my eyes.

For the tunes, not only my favourite remix of his, but near my favourite ever, and then a popular track from the album, enjoy...

Pantha du Prince - Walden 2

Depeche Mode - Lilian (Pantha du Prince Remix)

------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------

[T]EKEL:

Don't know much about these guys, Julien Briffaz & Loic Le Guillou, except that they've had a good few, top notch releases on 'Initial Cuts' since 2003.

Check out the tunes though, pretty similar in style to Pantha in my opinion. Just a couple of random selections (i like to up stuff not on hypem if you havent noticed yet). Enjoy....

[T]ekel - Ridvo

[T]ekel - Creitel Connecxion

Trans Canada High Way

BOARDS OF CANADA:

BoC consists of two scottish brothers, signed to Warp Records. Also known as Hell Interface, they have a back catalogue of releases on their self-run Music70 label.

For the tunes, a classic from 'Geogaddi', a rare from a Warp compilation, and my favourite remix of theirs, enjoy...

Boards of Canada - Music Is Math

Boards of Canada - Orange Romeda

Mira Calix - Sandsings (Remixed by Boards of Canada)

**Just a little test with different file hosts and other things, sorry for disruption, also still can't get on hypem, really annoyin...**

BUY: MP3 CD VINYL

Low Frequency Oscillator

LFO:

Back to my electronic posts...
Mark Bell, the first major electronic act i ever saw, what an absolute legend. Ever since that video of 'Freak' (fucking mental crazy might I add) I couldn't get enough of it.

Anyway, the tunes, one old, one new(ish), and a mix of my favourite tune (classic '90s vibe), enjoy...

LFO - Blown

LFO - Tied Up

LFO - LFO (Leeds Warehouse Mix)

Aphex Twin - On (µ-ziq Mix)

The Tuss - Death Fuck Mental Beats

Since i started blogging i have been posting specifically on my favorite artists. Then i devised a plan to keep covering my favorite artists, so far has been my fav. electro artists, with a couple more posts to go. On completion i will then move on to my electronic side of music, and possibly after maybe cover my most admired labels, you know what can be expected of that.

Anywho, this post is on Xavier De Rosnay & Gaspard Auge, but focused mainly on the unofficial remixes of their MASSIVE tunes. I have, in a way, compiled an album of unofficial remixes (track list below), of my personal choice, the best of the best as it were.

I plucked a trio to download. If you would like any more, or if you know of any other decent remixes (unofficial), drop me a line, enjoy...

Australia Covered... ...well the best two in my eyes

CUT COPY:

Signed to Modular, leading his band C//C, Dan Whitford has come a long way from small time DJing. Joined by Tim Hoey and Mitchell Scott, the trio recently released their sophomore album. Although I prefer their debut, 'In Ghost Colours' is fresh and interesting, but its tracks failed to make my favourites.

They are, my favourite track from their debut, an old song, and a mix of another aussie outfit Van She.

Cut Copy - Saturdays

Cut Copy - Glittering Clouds

Van She - Kelly (Cut Copy Remix)

----------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------

THE PRESETS:

Kimbereley Isaac Moyes & Julian Hamilton, another Modular set, hailing from Sydney. Although Hamilton focuses mainly on this project, Moyes is involved with Coda and Prop, and has released many of his own productions under the pseudynom KIM.

For the tunes, an early song, a single track release, and a rare remix, enjoy...

The Presets - Cookie

The Presets - Truth & Lies

Silverchair - Straight Lines (The Presets Remix)

Dim Out Tha Lights

ANDI MEID:

As one half of PUZIQUe and Tonic People, D.I.M. has made quite a name for himself, with his stand out productions, remixes and collaborations.
The first song listed below is the first i heard of him, played by Erol quite a bit. I found PUZIQUe through Ridha, and I have followed avidly since.

Enjoy the tunes below, especially the second, taken from their 'Thomas' EP...

D.I.M. - Sysiphos

PUZIQUe - Chemie

Shameboy - Heartcore (D.I.M. Remix)

Death By Proxy

PROXY:

With just two releases on Turbo Recordings, Proxy's material has got a lot of play from the big guys around the world. I personally think their style is genius, original and downright eargasmic.

For the audio, a b-side, a remix of their single (Destroy) and one they did for Chromeo, Enjoy...

Proxy - Din Dah

Proxy - Destroy (Riot In Belgium Edit)

Chromeo - Tenderoni (Proxy Distort Mix)
